Prefer it funny? The parody versions
The Grimoire Is a Cookbook. The terrible grimoire turns out to be a cookbook, and the door it opened leads to a kitchen.
Late Fees Summon Demons. The library’s late fees are so high that they have started summoning things.
Spell Check. The grimoire’s spells are full of typos, and nothing works as it should.
Choose “Parody” before you start and one of these is picked at random.
